Obliging Babu’s orders, the TDP MPs have been wreaking havoc on Parliament since day before yesterday and the BJP has finally started to feel the heat. Today, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely bowed down to the pressure and had to make a statement.
In his speech in today’s session, Arun Jaitely said that the central government understands the concerns of Andhra Pradesh people regarding the ‘issue’ and that the government will stand by its promise to support AP in its development.
Jaitely further said that he has spoken to the AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu today about the issue. However, throughout his speech, Jaitely never uttered the word ‘special status’ and it clearly shows the center’s understanding of AP’s plights.
Arun’s crocodile tears today were a mere bait to the TDP MPs as the BJP is introducing the GST bill in the house tomorrow and it needs all the support from TDP as Congress and other party MPs were creating hurdles for BJP.
