India wins gold, bronze at Para-Olympics

UntitledFor those who are depressed with the fact that India failed to win gold at Rio Olympics, we have some big news for you.

At the Para Olympics in Rio, Indian players have bagged two medals – gold and bronze. Mariyappan Thangavelu of India won gold in men’s high jump T-42 while his companion Varun Singh Bhati followed with bronze medal.

Thangavelu made a remarkable finish with a leap of 1.89 meters and Varun came third with 1.86 meters. US athlete Sam Grewe strikes silver with second place in the table.

Following the victory, Indian players have been getting tremendous applause on social platforms from one and all. Also, Indian sports authority earlier announced 75 lakh cash reward for gold winner and 50 lakh, 30lakh rewards for silver and bronze medalists.
