Jagan reacted quickly to Naidu’s statement welcoming the package and called for a state-wide agitation to expose Naidu. On September 10, Jagan called for a state-wide bandh to protest against the denial of special status to Andhra Pradesh by the Centre and TDP government failing to pursue the issue with sincerity. The Congress and the Left parties have no option but to join support Jagan’s agitation.
He said Naidu welcoming Arun Jaitley’s statement which lacks the special status issue is unpardonable and it is detrimental to the future of the youth and their employment opportunities which come along with the special category status.
Arun Jaitley’s statement had come late in the night which resembles the way the state division bill was passed in the Lok Sabha after blacking out television channels.
“We should mount pressure on Chandrababu Naidu who in turn will be compelled to withdraw his two ministers from the Union cabinet which is the only way to register any strong protest,“ he said.
