No Morning Shows In Andhra Pradesh

apCentre has announced a financial package for Andhra Pradesh, but declined to give state a special category status. The Opposition parties in the state- YSR Congress, Congress, and the two Left parties CPI and CPM gave a bandh call today in protest against the denial of special category status to the state.

Most of the theaters have been shut down for morning shows in the state. However, all the screens are expected to have screening from matinee shows.

Weekend collections are crucial for any film, due to holidays for corporate companies and several educational institutes on Saturday and Sundays. Fortunately, the bandh effect is limited for morning shows only.

If the bandh is extended for entire day, then it would badly affect recent releases, especially Nara Rohit and Naga Shourya starred Jyo Achyutananda which won critical applause for emotive story telling by the director Srinivas Avasarala.

Usually, small time films will not have huge openings on day one and post release talk will affect collections in next days. Likewise, Jyo Achyutananda was about to pick up from today.

Cancellation of morning show will definitely somehow has its effect on the film. But, thankfully bookings for the film are encouraging for next shows, as per trade trackers.
