Cricketer Praveen Kumar today began a new spell of his life, by turning into a politician. Having played with many star players in international format and IPL, Praveen Kumar have 6 tests and 68 ODIs credited is his cricketing career.

Praveen Kumar today joined Samajwadi Party (Uttar Pradesh) after meeting its president and UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. The cricketer-turned-politician attributes his decision to the development activities by CM Akhilesh Yadav, particularly in the sports sector.

However, when media asked whether he is going to contest UP general election next year, he retorted “I am a kid in this field. As of now I will try to learn politics.”

Earlier this year, Praveen’s mate Sreesanth joined BJP to contest Kerala polls. But, his attempt remained as a damp squib on result day. We wish him good luck for the endeavor of his career!
