Special Status is ‘Telegram’ & Special Package is ’email’

Union minister of state for Science and Technology Y Sujana Chowdary gave a new definition to Special status for which the oppositions parties launched agitations in Andhra Pradesh.

He said compared the demand for special status with the disbanded Telegram services and the special package as high speed email service. ‘Can we receive anyone send telegram to us when the whole services were shot forever in the country. In the fast changing world, email has been emerged as an alternative to telegram.’

The minister also said ‘the patient should use medicines prescribed by the doctor only.’ Here, centre has come forward with a big package to address all the issues facing by the residuary state. The union government would provide 100 per cent financial assistance to all the packages including Polavaram project, announced under special package.

He said special package is more useful than special status to Andhra Pradesh to overcome the obstacles in achieving holistic development. Special status is being given to the states located in the hill regions and at international borders only.

At this juncture, Chowdary said ‘economics is more important for Andhra Pradesh than the sentiments.’ Some political forces were instigating people on special status for their political benefits. Industrial corridors between Visakhapatnam – Chennai and Chennai – Bangaluru , special funds to the backward districts and compensate the revenue deficit announced by the centre will help AP to grow fast.
