AP Recommends 22 Members for Padma Awards 2016

Andhra Pradesh government has recommended the names of 22 distinguished personalities from various fields for Padma awards 2016.

The eminent personalities to have been nominated for Padma Bhushan included Aerospace Scientist Satheesh Reddy, Orthopedic Surgeon AV Guruva Reddy, TDP MP and actor Murali Mohan, Olympic Silver medalist PV Sindhu, Badminton player Kidambi Srikanth, noted Mrudangam player Yella Venkateswar Rao, Acclaimed classical dancer Ananda Shankar Jayant and Renowned Chief Surgeon Dr. CK Durga.

ENT specialist Dr. Vishnu Swaroop Reddy and Ramanaiah, a noted name in the field of handlooms industry are the ones to have been nominated for Padma Sri for 2016.

Every year, the union government announces the names of Padma Awardees on the Republic Day. We hope that most of these Telugu prides were bestowed with the Padma honor.
