Cycle Party Crises: Father Expels Son from Party

Uttar Pradesh which is heading for assembly elections next year plunged into a major political trouble. The ruling Samajwadi Party Presdient Mulayam Singh Yadav expelled his son and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav from the party for six years.

Citing his son indulged in the “anti-party activities”, the SP leader removed Akhilesh and also his aide and Mulayam’s cousin Ram Gopal Yadav from the party.

The move came a day after Akhilesh released a parallel list of poll candidates against the party’s official list, which ignored Akhilesh and his supporters. Mulayam and his brother Shivpal Yadav made the announcement of the expulsion of Akilesh from the party at a press conference.
