Indian-Origin Student Found Dead in US

In yet another tragic incident involving Indian students, a 20-year-old Indian-origin student was found dead in New York.

Aalaap Narasipura, 20, a senior electrical engineering student at Cornell’s College of Engineering, was found at Fall Creek after he was reported missing since Wednesday, May 17. Police recovered his body from Fall Creek after receiving a lead. They said that no foul play was found in Narasipura’s death and that they have launched an investigation from all possible angles.

Vice President for Student and Campus Life Ryan Lombardi said that Narasipura was an ambitious student and that he planned to do his Masters as well at Cornell University. He was scheduled to graduate early this December.

Narasipura’s family members in India are in deep shock after learning the news of his death.
