Resigned YCP MPs Tensed. Here’s Why!

The YSR Congress Party MPs seem to be caught in a dilemma over their resignations. After they received a call from Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan who apparently asked them to take their resignations back in order to avoid unwanted by-elections now ahead of 2019 general election, the 5 MPs of YSRCP will soon be heading to New Delhi to discuss with the Speaker.

MPs –  Avinash Reddy,  Mithun Reddy,  Varaprasad,  YV Subba Reddy and Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy, who have tendered their resignations during the budget session of the Parliament, have been summoned to Delhi. Speaker Sumitra Mahajan would like to talk to them before taking her next step.

Although YSRCP MPs are openly saying they’re not going to take their resignations back, inside buzz is that YCP MPs are worrying over the acceptance of their resignations as that would facilitate the by-polls in AP. Apparently, YCP MPs thought that the Speaker wouldn’t accept the resignations. But when they received a call from Speaker, they’re now said to be a worried lot and heading to Delhi hoping that she wouldn’t accept their resignations.

While TDP is already begun its preparations to face the by-polls, YCP MPs are also now said to be worrying as they’re not sure how this whole issue of their resignations would turn out. If the TDP wins or gains in the by-election, it is likely to have a telling effect in the 2019 general elections. The situation would favour YCP only when it win back all its 5 MPs which is not easy. Hence, YSRCP has its doubts over the by-polls and mulling over their resignations.
