It’s Not Copy of Hollywood Film!

Ever since the trailer of Sundeep Kishan’s Okka Ammayi Thappa is out, rumours are rife that the movie is a rip off Hollywood thriller Phone Booth. Finally breaking the silence, Sundeep said to have clarified that the movie has nothing to do with 2002’s psychological thriller directed by Joel Shcumacher.

“I haven’t watched the film yet. So, I have no clue. Director might have watched the film. But we’re sure it’s not copy of Phone Booth,” Sundeep apparently divulged to his close aides.

It’s heard that the movie is romantic drama set against thriller background. Besides youthful elements, it also has edge-of-the-seat moments, say writer-turned-director Rajasimha who is keeping his fingers crossed for his maiden directorial. He feels the film’s casting is biggest advantage. Sundeep and Nithya Menen haven’t teamed up before. It’s good to see them together, he added.

Since success has been eluding Sundeep for a while, it needs to be seen whether he break the jinx this time or not.
