Telangana Fumes At Bala Krishna

Senior actor and Telugu Desam Party MLA from HIndupur in Anantapur district Nandamuri Bala Krishna has landed in yet another controversy with his remarks against Telangana in his recent speech in America.

Netizens from Telangana are fretting and fuming at Bala Krishna for denigrating the people of the new state, while praising his father N T Rama Rao.

In his speech, Bala Krishna said the people of Telangana were able to eat white rice only because of the Rs 2 a kg rice scheme introduced by his father.

He described late NTR as a great personality like Mahatma Gandhi and he was born with a purpose. Because of his pro-people policies were the people of Telangana able to eat white rice.

In the past, his brother-in-law and present AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had made similar comments. He said the people of Telangana, who never used to wake up before 11 am, were now getting up at 6 am only because of NTR.

This has triggered an uproar in Telangnana. They are expressing view that both Balakrishna and Naidu were insulting the Telangana people.

“There is no meaning in Balayya’s statement. He has to tender apology to Telangana,” a netizen demanded.
