Zero for Sundeep, Pay Cut for Nithya

Nithya Menen belongs to a rare breed of heroines with beauty and talent. While it’s not so easy to bring her on board, makers of upcoming film Okka Ammayi Tappa have successfully did it and what’s more? They have managed to convince Nithya for huge pay cut as well. Apparently, it’s the story that intrigued her to do the film and agreed to cut her pay given that it’s a small-budget film.

Very much impressed with the story of two strangers stuck in a traffic jam on a flyover with a time bomb ticking away, Nithya hasn’t charged a bomb. And the film’s protagonist Sundeep Kishan hasn’t charged a single penny for the film. This isn’t all.

And Sundeep’s uncle and well-known cinematographer Chota K Naidu, who cranked the camera for the movie, too didn’t take any fee for his work. “All of us really believed in the script and wanted to make sure it comes into life as a film. We didn’t want to compromise in terms of quality due to budget constraints,” Sundeep was quoted as saying in his interview to an English daily.

Given that Trivikram’s A..Aa is faring well at the ticket windows, it needs to be seen how Okka Ammayi Tappa makes its mark as it’s slated for release this week
