Finally, A Hit For Mohanlal!

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal made comeback to Telugu cinema this year with Manamantha (Vismayam in Malayalam) and then acted alongside young tiger Jr NTR in Janatha Garage.

Unluckily, both the films were debacles in Kerala, whereas the Chandrasekhar Yeleti directed film was a flop and Koratala Siva directed movie is running successfully to a blockbuster here.

Finally, after tasting two bitter results, Mohanlal has attained first success this year. His recent release Oppam has won critical accolades and response from audience is also imposing.

The film Oppam has grossed Rs 7.24 crores, with 5.83 cr net and 3.44 Cr share for 4 days, which is a good show for a Malayalam cinema.

Oppam is said to be gaining strength day by day with positive mouth talk. The movie opened well with tough competition from Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Oozham. However both the movies are doing well at the box office. It is heard that, Mohanlal once again proved his acting prowess with amazing performance in the film.

Mohanlal banked heavily on Vismayam and Janatha Garage which both disappointed him by tanking at ticket window. Nonetheless, the success reports for Oppam would bring him sigh of relief!
