Story

‘Jo Achyutananda’ is a rom-com in Tollywood directed by Srinivas Avasarala and produced by Sai Korrapati on Varahi Chalana Chitram. The movie features Nara Rohit, Naga Shourya and Regina Cassandra in lead roles. The plot is more about story of 3 lovely characters and they are well presented in Srinivas Avasarla’s trademark humour way. The story revolves between two brothers and a girl. As always it has been treated in natural manner. This movie is not for mass audience. It is entirely for class audience. However the last 30 minutes are a complete tear jerker and it is too emotional. The drama between the three lead characters forms the whole story.

Star Performance

The movie has strong performances from the three lead characters. Nara Rohit shows his versatility once again. He portrays the emotions flawlessly. Be it witty sense of humour or one liners, he does it with ease. This movie is sure to be a path breaking one in his career. Regina Cassandra who has done principal female lead role has balanced well between the two. She has understood her capacity and has delivered her best. Regina has definitely given audience the ‘Pleasant’ treatment and she makes it a wonderful feel to watch. She has given her career best. She has scored as tenant. Naga Shourya as Anand has done a brilliant role once again. In fact, he made it so natural and subtle. No wonder he got praises from Magnum opus S.S.Rajamouli earlier.

Techinical Performance

Avasarala Srinivas definitely deserves a good applause for making a novel screenplay eventhough the one liner seems to be so simple. Tollywood has seen lots of sibling films like ‘SVSC’ and so on. But what makes this movie special is, the emotional journey. The movie is completely fresh for audience.

However the director focused entirely on one lane and that might be the down side. Not everyone could love it with patience. Editing is crisp. That is the biggest strength of the movie. The whole movie runs for a span of 125 minutes and that has given some boost to the movie. Music is another plus. ‘Aakapachani chandamama la’ song in first half is so mesmerizing. The songs are also catchy.

Background score brings emotions during second half of the movie. Cinematography is fabulous. It is simple and neat. The frames are kept in natural way and the lightings are also so natural. There are nothing in over dosage. And that is what makes this movie a special one. Technically the movie is too solid.

Final Say

The movie starts off on a good note and first half is completely filled with fun and humour. It is a Joy ride to take with. It is one of the cleanest films in recent times with clean comedy, originality and natural theme. The issue with the film is that it is mostly concentrated around one thread which may not offer a full cinematic experience we are used it. Further the last thirty minutes of the film is filled with so much of sentiment and is also a bit slow. The success will depend on how the A class audience lap it.
