Security Tightened For Rajinikanth

As Karnataka logs out for a state-wide bandh over the Cauvery issue, as many as 52 Tamil satellite channels are off air in the state. Films have always suffered security impairment whenever Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have gone to combat over Cauvery. Tamil movies have already been removed from theatres in cities like Bengaluru and other.

On the flip side, there is threat for few Tamil actors who have association with Karnataka state. And one among them is superstar Rajinikanth who was born in Maharashtra but spend his formative years working as a bus conductor in Bengaluru, before he made it big in the Tamil film industry.

Since, Rajinikanth can’t make a choice to support either of the states; he is facing problems, whenever Cauvery witnesses fireworks. Police has tightened security for Rajini and also few other actors such as Prabhu Deva, Ramesh Aravind and Bobby Simha who have their roots in Karnataka.

It may be mentioned here that, Rajnikanth faced a lot of flak for his aggressive stand on the Hogenakkal water issue few years ago. He had made a strong remarks slamming Karnataka over the issue, at a protest rally organized almost 8 years ago.

Now, the superstar who is currently busy shooting for Robo 2.0 in Shankar’s direction is keeping mum over Cauvery issue. In fact, no other actor is speaking a word about the matter as not to face ire of people of other state.
