Can Chiru Resurrect Vyjayanthi Banner?

Senior producer Aswini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies used to be one of the reputed banners until a spate of disasters including NTR’s Kantri, Shakthi and Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sainikudu’ dented its reputation and pushed the producer into financial mess. Now, reports are emerging that megastar Chiranjeevi might revive this ailing banner.

Chiranjevi’s ‘Khaidi No.150’ shoot is nearing its end and its release date has also been locked. The behind the screen attention is slowly shifting towards the actor’s 151st movie now. It is strongly heard that Boyapati Sreenu will direct this movie. Now, who will produce it?

Allu Arvind, who has earlier produced Boyapati’s ‘Sarrainodu’ on his Geetha Arts banner, has reportedly come forward to bankroll this project. But, latest reports suggest that Aswini Dutt has recently met Chriu and expressed his interest to produce the actor’s 151st film.

It may be noted that ‘Shakthi’ (2011) was the last films produced by Aswini Dutt. Now, after five years of sabbatical, he wishes to make his comeback with Chiranjeevi’s film. Since Chiru has acted in three memorable blockbusters (Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Choodalani Undi and Indra) produced by Vyjayanthi movies the senior producer felt that he will once again prove lucky for his banner.

As Aswini Dutt is also a family friend, Chiranjeevi might not say no to him. So, in all probability Allu Arvind and Aswini Dutt might jointly produce Chiranjeevi and Boyapati Srinu’s film.
