BVSN Prasad, the producer of Pawan Kalyan’s industry hit film ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ (AD), has opened up on the controversy involving the actor complaining on him over pending payment.

It may be recalled that when the pirated print of AD was leaked before the film’s official release, Pawan and director Trivikram reportedly returned a part of their remuneration to the producer to alleviate his loss. Later, the film went on to become an industry hit and reaped profits to the producers.

It was assumed that all was well between Pawan and Prasad until the ‘Gabbar Singh’ actor complained on him over his pending payment just a day before the producer’s ‘Nannaku Prematho’ was scheduled to hit screens for Sankranthi this year, two and a half years after the release of AD.

Prasad immediately met Pawan and somehow resolved the issue. Needless to say, the act of Pawan, who has the image of a very generous actor, surprised many.

In a latest interview, Prasad confessed that some amount of Pawan was due with him at that time and said that he didn’t understand why the actor took such extreme step. ‘I don’t say that Pawan troubled me but I feel unfortunate to have found myself in such situation. Ever since, I have become more cautious,’ he said.

Prasad concluded that he feel indebted to Pawan and Trivikram for having helped him during the AD piracy fiasco.
