Trade: No-stopping for Baahubali-2

The second installment of Baahubali can’t seem to have downward graph in terms of box-office collections, even after first day. Since the time this movie lighted screens on 28th April, it’s only breaking and re-writing all existing records that any Indian film has created. Remarkably, there is absolutely no downfall in occupancy & collections on day-2 as well.

While the four versions of film grossed more than 150 Crore on day-1 and USD2.5 million through Thursday premieres, the historic film oversaw a massive jump on Day-2. In US, Baahubali: The Conclusion raked in  USD 3500K+ on Saturday and takes the total to USD 8.16 million (INR 52.5+ Crores).

And the domestic numbers, for two days, of Telugu version are listed below:

Nizam – 14.3 Crore
Ceded – 9.15 Crore
Nellore – 2.62 Crore
Guntur – 7.40 Crore
Krishna – 3.98 Crore
West – 6.73 Crore
East – 7.29 Crore
Uttharandhra – 6.92 Crore

The cumulative shares in AP & TG – 58.38 Crore. On second day itself, the Telugu version collects a 15 Crore share to create a non-release day record. I.e Highest by a margin of almost 5 Crore.

If you’re surprised with these stats, get ready to witness the storm on day-3 as well. On Sunday, Baahubali-2 is expected to mint much more than day-2 and there’s no break for house-full boards.
