Happy Days Hero Gets Baahubali Chance

Even as Venkatapuram is carrying good buzz in industry circles, little did Happy Days actor Rahul Haridas know that the film would land him in a crazy film even before its release. Rahul has been roped in for a straight Telugu film that will be produced by big production house from Tamil Nadu.

K Productions that bought the theatrical rights of Baahubali : The Conclusion in Tamil Nadu for a whopping Rs 48 Crore, is all set for its Tollywood debut and it is going to produce Rahul’s film as a lead. It’s said that the premieres of Venkatapuram to select audiences have got good word of mouth in industry circles and it in turn helped Rahul bag the project. The untitled film is said to be an adventurous drama with an interesting script.

The production house has recently produced superhit Tamil film Powerpandi and currently producing Gautham Menon-Dhanush film that is currently on floors. Meanwhile, K Productions is bankrolling a Telugu-Tamil bilingual 1945 (a period drama) featuring Rana and Regina. This will be its maiden movie in Telugu.

Looks like Rahul has got good backing in form of this. Meanwhile, Venkatapuram that saw few postponements is finally going to release on May 12.
