Equal Meat for Charan & NTR

After Baahubali, Rajamouli was expected to do a relatively smaller film since he kept on telling the same. The ace director however surprised everyone by setting up another herculean project, an NTR-Charan multistarrer that has the potential of becoming a bigger film than even Baahubali (Telugu version). Making commercial entertainers is a piece of cake for Rajamouli but the biggest challenge for him regarding this project is dealing with fans’ sentiments.

Multistarrers used to be regularly made during the times of NTR, ANR, Krishna etc. However, by the time Chiru, Balakrishna, Nag and Venky took the reins of Tollywood, multistarrers became extinct. Ever since, filmmakers rarely tried to set up multistarrers keeping the egos and sentiments of fans in mind. Heroes have also shied away from encouraging multi-hero films in order not to disappoint their fans.

With Ram Charan and NTR being two of the biggest stars at present, each coming from a prestigious filmy family and having mammoth fan following of their own, Rajamouli is said to be taking extreme care in giving equal importance to their roles. The duo will have same number of songs, fights, elevation scenes i.e. equal screen time. While Rajamouli already has the story line ready with him, he has decided to spend almost one year to complete the script work and pre-production so as to make sure he doesn’t disappoint the fans of either hero.

Both Charan and NTR have agreed to do this film even without listening to the story, such is the confidence they have in Rajamouli.
