Slut Shaming: Rakul Preet Lands in Controversy

Rakul Preet Singh has landed in thick of the controversy with her tweets. In an attempt to slam a man who tried to slut shame her, Rakul unnecessarily got the troll’s mother into the picture.This has attracted more bad name to her. Social media folks say her double-standards have been exposed.

On one hand, she talks about some people have ‘sick mind’ and criticizes that this misogynistic attitude about women’s clothes is causing women feel insecure, and at the same time she shows same attitude in slamming the troll.

Instead of scolding the man who slut shamed her, she has brought ‘mother’ in the picture, which is typical men’s attitude.A guy with bad mentality wrote cheaply about her for wearing mini shorts by saying that she forgot to wear pants after completing ‘session in the car’.

He implied that she had just completed a sexual intercourse in car. She justifiably rattled by this cheap comment.

I think your mother does a lot of sessions in the car so you are an expert !! Ask her to give u some sense also besides these session details .. till the time people like this exist women can’t be safe .. just debating about equality and safety won’t help.. #sickmind

But poor Rakul used brought the troll’s mother into the picture in slamming him. She should have used right words to expose the guy’s sick mind.

Rakul later clarified, “Well for people questioning my ethics why don’t you speak up when women are objectified and I’ve chosen my words only to make such #sickminds realise that they have a family too and how would they feel if the same is done to them! I am sure his mother would give him a slap too.”
