US Wknd BO: Chitralhari Rakes in Decent Numbers

Sai Dharam Tej should be rejoicing as his latest film “Chitralahari” took good opening all over. Surprising everyone, the youthful entertainer took better opening in USA. The film has become his career best opening movie in USA market.

“Chitralahari” has raked in about Rs $235k (Rs 1.6 Cr gross). The film was bought for very nominal price and the distributor is already in profits. It remains to be seen whether it would touch half million mark.

Generally, US audiences don’t prefer watching Sai Dharam Tej’s movies as he has done mostly mass movies. For the first time, he changed the tracks, and it helped him getting decent openings.

On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha starrer “Majili” is ending its run in USA. The film is a blockbuster in domestic Indian market but in US, it may not touch $1 million mark, making it just ordinary hit.

The film by end of its second week run, its cumulative gross stands at $765k (Rs 5.2 Cr).
