Harish Shankar’s upcoming Crime Drama Valmiki is hot in the trade. Varun Tej’s good track record and Harish Shankar’s capabilities as director are the reasons for the craze around Valmiki, a remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda.

Varun Tej is essaying a negative character in Valmiki and his getup has been one of the biggest selling points of the film.

Valmiki is releasing on Sep 13, which means it will have direct clash with Nani’s Gang Leader. Despite the clash, Valmiki is fetching good deals in the trade.

Nizam distribution rights of Valmiki were sold to Srinivasa Rao for an attractive price tag. It fetched Rs. 7.3 Cr, which is a very good offer for a Varun Tej starrer.

Srinivasa Rao recently released iSmart Shankar in Nizam and made superb profits on it. Now he has bet big on Valmiki that is produced by 14 Reels Plus.
